Token Now Required for WoS Integration

We recently released a change to FAR's Web of Science (WoS) integration to ensure that it still works after Clarivate (makers of WoS) deprecated their SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) endpoints. Faculty Activity Reporting now relies on WoS's REST endpoints, which require a token from clients. If you did not provide us with your token, the WoS integration has been disabled. You can provide us with your token at any point and we can re-enable the integration.

Background

Web of Science (WoS), is an existing manual integration in F180 that allows scholars to search for themselves and select the articles they want to import. Clarivate, who owns WoS will stop using Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) apis on November 1, 2023 in favor of their already established RESTful APIs. This will mean the WoS will no longer be functional. Searches (and therefore imports) will not work.
