Assign or Change an Application Status

Committee Managers or Administrators can assign or change an application status in Interfolio Faculty Search (FS) from the Applications page or the Applicant's Profile. Applicants cannot view their application statuses, regardless of the settings. Application statuses are ideal for managing large applicant pools by enabling targeted requests. For example, it is common to request  letters of recommendation from shortlisted candidates by creating a shortlist status to ensure only those applicants can submit additional materials.

Application Statuses take precedence over Position Statuses.

 

Change an Application Status

  1. Navigate to the Positions page and click the desired hyperlinked Position name from the list that appears.
  2. Select the desired Applicant Name(s) by checking the boxes, then choose the desired status from the Status dropdown on the toolbar to update all selected applicants.
    • You can also click the hyperlinked Applicant Name to navigate to the applicant's profile page where you can click Change under the Status section.

      Administrators with the appropriate permissions can manage the list of statuses that appear here

       
  3. On the Change Status window that appears you can view the permissions associated with this status and send a message (with or without a Message Template) to selected applicants of this change.
