Configure Faculty Account Access

Faculty can assign proxy users in Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR, Faculty180) to access their CV information and reports. This functions similarly to how Administrators can emulate a user, but without the ability to access the Administrative section and its abilities/evaluation features. This article explains how you, as a faculty member, can assign a proxy user to your account from the Account Access tab on the navigation menu.

The Access Settings feature must be activated by Interfolio via a support ticket. Proxy access expires on a date chosen by the faculty member.

Check out this article on how to Use Account Access to Emulate a Faculty Account for more information on proxying into Accounts I Can Access.

Assign a proxy user to faculty account

  1. Click Account Access to navigate to the Account Access page where you can view a list of Users Granted Access to My Account and Accounts I Can Access.
    • Click the “X” (Delete) icon to remove a user's proxy access. You can also remove user access in bulk by checking the boxes next to the applicable users and then and clicking the Delete Selected button.
    • Click the Pencil (Edit) icon under to make changes to that user's current access.
  2.  Click Add under the Users Granted Access to My Account section. The Add Access window will appear where you will:
    • Click the Select Faculty button to choose faculty members or support accounts for proxy access. Use the Faculty Selection Tool to search and filter accounts and select faculty to provide proxy access.

Check the Show Support Accounts box to search for support accounts in addition to faculty users.

    • Check whether to provide Emulate rights for account access and the ability to proxy in or My Evaluations rights for access to view and complete evaluations.
    • Enter the Expiration Date for the proxy access and, optionally, any notes.
  3. Click Save to navigate back to the Account Access page where you will see the users you have granted access to your account.
