Release Notes: April 22, 2025

This release introduces bug fixes for Faculty Search (FS) related to deleted positions and position status creation. New features include an endpoint to enhance loading times on the position list page in FS and print preview functionality for Vita Builder templates in Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR). Additionally, a DMARC policy update will improve email security for all users.

Faculty Search

  • Fixed: Resolved an issue where deleted positions continued to appear in the positions list despite confirmation of their deletion. This problem, reported by multiple institutions, affected the accuracy of both open and closed position reporting. Deleted positions will no longer be visible in the list.

  • Fixed: Improved the logic in the position status creation process, resulting in faster performance. The execution time has been reduced from 20 seconds to approximately 8 seconds, achieving an overall performance boost of approximately 86%. All endpoints will continue to function as previously.

  • New Feature: Introduced a new endpoint, /{tenant_id}/positions/{id}/summary, designed to enhance performance on the position list page within Faculty Search. This endpoint aims to improve page loading times by providing essential information needed for rendering the position page efficiently, while allowing detailed data to be retrieved in the background as necessary. The new endpoint is currently available for use and is documented in our Swagger documentation.

Faculty Activity Reporting

  • New Feature: The print preview functionality has been added for the new Vita Builder templates utilized in Initiated Activity Inputs.

Faculty Information System (All Users)

  • Fixed: Effective April 28, 2025, we will implement an update to our DMARC policy for emails sent from the @interfolio.com domain. This policy update is designed to prevent unauthorized emails from being delivered to users. Generally, no action is required on your part, especially if you utilize major email providers such as Outlook or Gmail, as you are likely already protected. If your institution employs specific email configurations, please consult with your IT department to ensure that DMARC is set up correctly.
