Filling out the Org Structure Change Request Form

1. Download the Org Structure Change Request Form.
   
2. Complete the desired tab based on the Subunit Information under Administration > Setup > Organizational Structure > Edit desired section.
   
   • The Unit Abbreviation and Unit Name can be found under the General Information section.
     
   • The Environment of Change can be identified by either the Database ID (DBID) or the Tenant ID, found at the end of the URL on the homepage.
     
3. Once the form is completed, download a copy and submit it to Interfolio-support@elsevier.com.
4. After changes are made by the Interfolio Tech Services team, update the unit name and abbreviation in all relevant base data files (Faculty, Course Prefixes, Committees, Current Positions, Secondary Unit Assignments, and Support Accounts).

Request Form Tabs

• Merge Request Form: Merges two units and transfers all associated data (Faculty, Course Prefixes, Committees) from the unit to be deleted to the unit being retained.
  

  You must complete the Delete Unit Request Form tab if you wish to delete the merged unit.

   
• Request to Change Parent Unit: Moves a unit to a new parent while keeping its lower-hierarchical relations the same, and preserving all associated data and subunits.
• Delete Unit Request Form: In order for a unit to be deleted, all associated data must first be merged with a unit slated to be retained. Deleting a unit requires a merge request indicating where the data in that unit should be migrated to and a change parent unit request indicating which parent unit to use for any subunits tied to this unit.
