Overview of Customized Labeling: Input Forms and Vitas
It is important to understand how relabeling input forms can impact the output vita (within the New Vita Builder and Legacy Vitas). This article will review:
- How changing section labels on the input form impacts Vita sections.
- How changing default sections impact Vita sections.
- How changing custom sections impact Vita sections.
- How to match the input section to its appropriate vita section.
Input Forms and Vitas
New Vita Builder
For default sections and custom sections, the following behavior should be expected:
- If the section has a custom label applied in the Vita Builder, then it will be maintained and should not change if there are updates to the section name on the Input Form.
- If the section has not been relabeled in the Vita Builder, then the section should sync with the name of the section on the input form (for example, if there are changes to the section name on the input form, that change should be reflected in the Vita Builder).
Note that there is a five minute cache for templates, so expect a delay between when the section name is changed on the input form and when that change is reflected in the Vita Builder.
- If a section has been relabeled in the Vita Builder, the name of the section from the input form will show at the top of the configuration panel, under the custom section label, when the section is being edited.
Note that there is a five minute cache for templates, so expect a delay between when the section name is changed on the input form and when that change is reflected in the Vita Builder.
